Its November already! The year has gone by pretty fast. And as it comes to the end, lots of artists are putting their albums out. And there are many. There was a similar situation last year with 50 Cent, Weezer, Jay Sean, Britney Spears, Bon Jovi and others all releasing their albums around the same time. It’s an exciting time for the music industry. And it’s already back! Here the ones that I’ll defiantly be tuning into.
5. Nelly – Nelly 5.0
It has been two years since rapper Nelly released his 5th album “Brass Knuckles”. But now he’s back, and it’s like he never left. From the tracks that have been released so far, we can see that Nelly 5.0 has more of a pop appeal than any of the other albums that Nelly’s made, and he is still able to do his “singing-rap” technique that everyone loves.
Guests: Diddy, Birdman, DJ Khaled, Chris Brown, Plies, T.I., T-Pain, Akon, Yo Gotti, Sophie Green, Keri Hilson, and the one I’m looking most forward to… Kelly Rowland, who previously collaborated with Nelly on the smash hit “Dilemma”
4. Rihanna – Loud
The title gives it all away. Yes, supposedly Rihanna’s new album, “Loud, will have a very loud and partying vibe to it. With the newly released song “S&M”, can truly see that RiRi is a “Good Girl Gone Bad”! This is a new girl, a Rihanna that we’ve never seen before
Guests: Drake, Nicki Minaj & Eminem
3. Akon – Stadium
Although the title was thought to be called “Akonic”, it isn’t (actually, nobody knows the true title)! “Stadium”, like Rihanna’s “Loud” has a title that describes the album content. Otherwise, Akon has kept the album content and details very low key, but there is a supposed mix of “Pop and Street” music on it.
Guests: Conformed – Rick Ross, Big Meech & David Guetta. Rumored – Lady Gaga, Andre 3000 & Eminem
2. Kanye West – My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy
Kanye West 5th album gets the number 2 spot on the list. His so called “Return to Rap” album after a very Auto-Tuned “808s And Heartbreak” is jam packed with guests. I think its fair to call this a concept album because only two songs weren’t used in his short film “Runaway” (check post bellow for review), thus saying that the concept of the album is the plot of “Runaway”.
Guests : Too Many :P! Kid Cudi, Raekwon, Dwele, Jay-Z, Rick Ross, Nicki Minaj, Bon Iver, Pusha T, Cyhe tha Pynce, RZA, Swizz Beatz, John Legend, Fergie, Alicia Keys, Elton John, Charlie Wilson, The-Dream, Elly Jackson, Ryan Leslie & Tony Williams
And the number 1 album I’m looking forward to before the year ends is…
1. Michael Jackson – Michael
It’s been almost a year and a half since the King Of Pop, Michael Jackson died. Now, following in the footsteps of Tupac, Biggie & Johnny Cash, MJ will release a posthumous album, with songs recorded as early as 2001, up untill ’09, the year he died. The 1st song to be released is called “Breaking News”, which comes out on November 8th.
Guests: Although the guests on the album currently remain unknown, it has been said that between the time period of 2001-2009, that Jackson worked with many artist such as Akon, will.i.am, Pharrell & more.
And that wraps up my 1st countdown. Expect a new review soon.
